Somatic Healing

‘Somatic’ references the mind-body connection. Your body is your tool to feel emotions. Past traumas and experiences are stuck in the body. When you don’t take the time to process them in the moment, these get stored in the body causing all kinds of issues for you.

During our Somatic Sessions, we tap into the body, into the emotions, and release them from the body using meditation, breathwork, and movement.

By releasing the emotions from the body, your body can heal. You get to learn what your triggers feel like and the tools to process them, as they arise. As life goes on, you know how to process and release emotions to continue this work and growth.

Let me introduce myself..

Expectations of others & the need for people to love me is what motivated me through my life (til now!)

I felt really lonely as a child. 
I felt abandoned by friends as I grew up.
I was a very depressed teen. 
I always felt big feelings but never really knew what to do with them. That usually just left me depressed and hidden away in my room.
I felt like I was never enough.
I went to college because I felt like I had to. Unsure of what I really wanted to be when I grew up. I chose a major that I was good at but actually bored me to tears! 
After having my second child, my body freaked the fuck out and I got very sick with an auto-immune disease. I spent years healing my body, which led me to healing my mind, and my spirit. 

This journey, my journey, over the last 38+ years has led me to this point.

Of being here, holding space for you to also heal. 

You are worthy of this healing!

What you are feeling can be temporary if you put the work in to release, process, and heal.

I know that was I was feeling as a child was false.

I was always enough.

False stories, limiting beliefs, and certain experiences I had with people shaped the way I thought about myself.

Now, as I’ve taken the time to heal these wounds, go inward to uncover my true self, I know my worth. I know who I truly am.

I am here to pour into you as you heal.

During our sessions together we…

Discuss what you have going on currently in life and your past experiences & traumas you’ve had. We take these and use them during the somatic exercises in our session.

You will experience meditation & breathwork while I ask questions to allow you to dig deeper into the sensations you’re experiencing (aka emotions you are feeling.)

You will discover the limiting beliefs, false stories, expectations that have conditioned you to feel the way that you do. Using breathwork and self-touch, you’ll be guided to process and release the emotions that are stored in the body.

Afterwards, we take time to reflect while I support and guide you through what you experienced in your session. Homework (such as journaling) will be given to help you apply what you discovered to your day-to-day life.
